Do I have to use my own videos?
By entering, participants warrant that his or her entry materials are original, do not infringe on any third party’s rights, and that participant has obtained any necessary permissions from any third party if a third party or third party’s property appears in the video. BoomerTowne reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it finds in its sole discretion that any of the foregoing warranties are not true. Decisions of BoomerTowne shall be final and binding.

How many contests are there?
A new contest begins each month.

What’s required for me to participate?
You only need to be a BoomerTowne Citizen.

How long does it take before my video will show up?
We manually approve every video that is submitted. This can take up to 48 hours or up to 72 hours if your video was submitted during the weekend or holiday.

How many entries can I submit?
You may submit one video entry per contest. If the video you submit is not approved then you can submit another one for consideration.

How many BoomerTowne Points can I earn?
You will receive 25 BoomerTowne Points once your video is approved. You can have one video approved for each contest. New contests begin each month.

Are there any format limitations?
Accepted extensions: .mov, .avi, .flv, .mpeg, .wmv, .mpg, .mp4, .3gp, .dv, .qt, .asf, .mp3, .wav, .wma, .qcelp, .amr-nb, .movieclip, .mod, .3g2. Accepted file sizes: Maximum of 300 MB.

How do I delete a video?
Once your video is submitted, it cannot be deleted. So please make sure you want to submit the video before you enter it into the contest.

Where is my video? Why can’t I find it when I browse through?
We receive thousands of new submissions every week. When you browse through the videos, you are seeing the most recent entries.

VOTING

How do I vote?
First you have to be a BoomerTowne Citizen. Once you’re an official BoomerTowne Citizen then log in and browse the videos. Make sure to identify your top three favorite videos. Then click on the individual videos and vote for each one as your first, second or third choice.

How many points do I get for voting?
You can vote for up to three videos each day, and you’ll earn three points for each vote. There is a maximum point limit of nine BoomerTowne Points per day.

How often can I vote?
You can vote three times per per day.

Who is allowed to vote?
Any BoomerTowne Citizen over the age of 18 is eligible to participate in the Contest. You must be a BoomerTowne Citizen in order to vote. Tell your friends and family to vote.

How can I win the Video Contest?
The most popular video wins 10,000 BoomerTowne Points. The second most popular video receives 5,000 Boomer Towne Points, and the third most popular video receives 3,000 BoomerTowne Points.
